Big family reunion scheduled for early June in Galveston.

12 or so flying down from Chicago area. Another 15-18 or so driving down from sports in Texas.

2 huge houses rented and paid for in advance ... BUT with a 100% refundable deposit if canceled 30 days out, or early May.

Wait until mid May and make a decision?

Since it is domestic travel, I'd wait a month before deciding anything. A lot could happen in April (better or worse).

Just wait until 31 days out to see where we are. I assume things will be mostly back by then with extra precautions of elderly and other underlying conditions.

It's really not helpful to do this on every thread, FYI. This was a specific question about a specific date. Everyone knows about the Reveille thread, there's no need for you to reply to every thread with a link to it.

First, you are not the arbiter of what is helpful or not. Second, I haven't posted the updates on every thread. Lastly, the doctor's dire warning that this is just getting started is directly germane to the OP's question and is far more credible than any layman's opinion.

I feel like the shelter in place will be removed by then but still probably smart to wait until late April / early May to make the call.

As of right now if your family is coming from Chicago they will be ordered to quarantine.

From Governor Abbott today:
