Over week Ago cases were positive in Travis, Williamson, Comal county. One week later 5 to 6 dead in the counties. Bexar county up to 6 in about a week. Follows the same pattern as Dallas County

Not wanting to sound morbid but right on cue.

That is interesting also. I wish they would show age. They youngest here was a 44 year old man in New Braunfels. The others they said were 70 plus with existing ailments. The one that passed today in Travis they are not mentioning age.

The ages if 30 to 40 have the most positive cases in Travis County.

I have my suspicions on the TC case from today. Someone we know passed away over the weekend unexpectedly. It would be a minor.

As of Sunday in Brazos county half of our cases were under the age of 30.

It is cool seeing a ripple effect as it spreads from higher populations/density to lower pops/density. Also goes to show that that rural areas are not necessarily "low" risk but that given enough time it'll get to you, at least for this bug.

I think it's because so much early info lead young people to feel safe. My daughter in her early 20's was living life as normal (going to the bars) in Dallas two weeks ago while we in CA were sheltered in place already. Nothing I could say could convince her not to go out......
Now there is enough information for older people to know better then to take it lightly and many are staying at home ans likely before mandates.

Some of the reports posted here over the last week or two suggested that the mortality rates for younger people were inadvertently distorted in other countries (Italy) because of a shortage of tests, which largely went to older patients.

Younger fatalities that would almost assuredly have tested positive couldn't be logged as COVID and so deaths were logged as pneumonia, heart failure or otherwise. With the United States's much younger and larger population it would not be surprising to see a statistically significant number of fatalities come from younger folks.

They just announced it was an 80 year old woman.

Look at the age range of the cases in the county.

A 0-1 year old range is positive. First I have heard of that but sure it can happen.

Thank goodness. It's still horrifying for my friends but I'm thankful it's not Coronavirus (yet).

Yeah, makes you wonder. I thought back to this case of a healthy 20-year old girl killed by the flu. That's very unusual, and now more suspicious, if you ask me.

"Within 10 hours of being in the hospital, she had a massive heart attack. Her heart completely stopped and it took twenty minutes to restart her heart. The doctors soon realized her heart could not continue to pump on its own,"

Students coming back from overseas trips and spring break.

This is why my company has told all of our student employees to not come into work for the foreseeable future.

MoCo had their first two deaths today. Two men in the senior living apartments that had the outbreak.

Quote:

THE WOODLANDS, Texas UPDATE: Two men who were residents at The Conservatory at Alden Bridge, an apartment complex for people who are 55 and older, have died, Montgomery County officials said Wednesday afternoon.

According to Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management, the deaths are coronavirus-related. One man was in his 80s; the other, in his 90s. No other information was released about their health in the statement released Wednesday.

But the MoCo LEO is improving.

Quote:

APRIL 1 3:30 p.m. There's good news from Montgomery County with an update on their first coronavirus patient. The Patton Village police officer, who's been hospitalized since early March, is finally improving. He had been in critical condition for weeks but is now in fair condition, according to the hospital.

The officer and two other local COVID-19 patients were in the same barbecue cook-off tent in late February.

The Montgomery County Public Health District also reported 17 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total there to 110.

When a friend in the woodlands sent the information that the 90 yo went unconscious in the common area of the assisted living place prior them knowing he had covid, I figured it'd turn out bad.

And his case was confirmed on 3/20 but they didn't lock the place down until yesterday. Not real sure what the thinking was there.

I have not understood why every nursing/retirement/assisted living facility in the entire country hasn't been locked-down since the first outbreak in Washington State.
