So, bigger question. Did someone from the US bring it down to Mexico, or did they catch it from a Mexican while on vacation?
Mexico is only reporting 1200 cases, but those beach resorts have people from all over the world.

I cancelled a spring break trip with my family to Mexico, which was a painful decision. Among the reasons was not being sure who was going to be at the resort. Mexico had only like 2 cases at the time, but I knew that people would be coming from all over the world there.

A friend of mine was out on a ventilator Saturday. Friends say he's making a comeback.
I knew he'd get it cut he traveled from NY on March 13th & was all over Chinatown. I stayed away from him after he came back. Not that I hang out with him but I paid attention to the places he'd go & who he was around.

Seems like Covid is alot better than what spring breakers typically get when on spring break.

I was in Puerto Vallarta on Feb 17 and the port authority there proclaimed zero cases in the entire country. Cruise ship crews make day excursions so it is possible that it was spread from there. But airports are much more likely suspects for transmission due to proximity of passengers. Apropos of numbers, Japan only has had 2079 cases as of today since the Pacific Princess first docked there.

Yeah, it's dumb to think any particular generation begins and ends on certain days. But, people prefer an inaccurate simplification as long as it's close enough instead of a more complex and completely accurate explanation. As a wise philosopher once said, "ain't nobody got time for that."
