So Laredo is now going to fine anyone who is not wearing a mask outside of their home 180 days in jail or up to 1000 dollars.

Great, just one problem, no masks anywhere in Laredo. So does anyone know where I can procure some masks for essential employees in Laredo?

We are a 3M distributor however they will not sell any masks to non-hospital entities until they can get caught up. Dumb on us I guess but we donated all of the masks we had last week not realizing that Laredo would do this.

A bandana should suffice for this when no masks are availabe. Just dont wear the incorrect color.

Don't see anything about the 180 days in jail. Just up to a 1000 fine.

Someone was asking earlier on another thread, but along this line of reasoning, would a buff, or something like it, be effective at all? Many of us that fish or hunt, have lots of them, and I would put mine to use, if helpful. I do not have masks available nor do I expect to find them locally.

This worked with a bandana for me, just took a bit of adjusting with the bands (I used 2 on each side instead of one)

Thanks for replies I am sending some buffs to them to get by for now. The ordinance says any face covering, my guys told me they heard jail.

I thought the Gov also limited but Laredo council didn't listen I guess.

I don't think these buffs will do anything, but if Laredo city government is good with it then so be it

Read the ordinance closely. It'll be fine.

Full disclosure, I'm from there, both parents still live there along with my extended family.

That being said, the city council meetings have been a complete sheetshow.

If you don't have a buff you could just take an old t-shirt and:

1) rip/cut the sleeves off.
2) Slip the sleeve over your head and onto your nose and mouth
3) ???
4) Profit

Now I'm going to dig around for an old Crown bag and make a mask!

I think even the infinity scarves that so many of us women have could be used this way and just washed.
