I thought we had a thread for stories but could not find so here is one to make some smiles.
A good friend of mine lives in north Texas. He owns a custom car painting and restoration shop and does most of the work himself. Because of this he was well stocked up a month ago with the N95 mask. He gave some to his family, neighbors etc. His kids found his stash and unbeknownst to him they took them and sold them so now he has none to use for his work. Now he only used the N95 mask for sanding and spraying touch ups and had just purchased a $2100 full mask with supplied air for when spraying in his paint booth.
He has become totally spooked by this virus so yesterday his wife wanted him to go Wal Mart and get some items. Emphasis on he is really freaked out about catching the virus......So he decided the only mask he had was the new high dollar full face mask with external respirator filters and he had on his Tyvek suit as he had just finished spraying a car. He left the suit on and the mask and went to Walmart.
He said when he walked in people actually almost ran away from him and he could go down any isle and it would clear out when he walked down it. Said he could get everything he wanted .....even TP! When he went to check out a manager came up to him and thought he was with some gov agency or something and got kinda upset when he told him he just painted cars.
You would have to know this guy to get the full effect of this story but I hope it brings a chuckle to everyone to maybe brighten the day. Anybody know where you can get a mask like that???
