I have a horrible headache, hoping for the best, but don't want to take anything that may aggravate the virus if I have it and am just showing symptoms.

Thank you in advance for all that you do. God Bless.

When I get a headache I smoke a little bowl of pot or hemp, depending on the time of day.

Within seconds it's gone.

Allergies can suck my D.

There may be some theoretical increase of ACE2 receptors (which is the protein binding site that allows the virus that causes Covid-19 into cells) when taking NSAIDs of any type (Aleve/naproxen, ibuprofen/Advil/Motrin, aspirin, along with others.)
However the WHO retracted their recommendation against NSAIDs after further analysis of data and are now only "recommending" Tylenol/acetaminophen/paracetamol use instead.

There have been no scientific studies that actually show worsening of Covid-19 with NSAIDs, but the theoretical risk still exists.

my VA doc said to avoid NSAIDs if COVID symptoms are present but I'm avoiding them altogether for now. No tylenol in the house because it's sold out everywhere. Couple that with not being able to go to my chiro for 3+ weeks and i'm on the struggle bus.

DayQuil and NyQuil both have acetaminophen. They have helped me with some of my symptoms. I am no doctor but have experienced it.

I always take ibuprofen and will continue to do so. Zero f's given. There's about as much "ibuprofen bad" evidence as there is for "vaccines bad."

No one is saying ibuprofen is bad. They are saying in theory it can help proliferate this once in a lifetime virus. In theory ibuprofen could boost ACE2 receptors that the virus uses to infect cells and could make the virus spread faster.

They haven't had time to prove it but why take this risk?
