Researchers at Pitt have developed a vaccine that in mouse models produces enough antibodies to attack the virus. They used the framework of prior work on other iterations of the coronavirus.
Obviously this isn't a short term solution as it hasn't been tested in humans, but maybe they can expedite the process for future use
