What's the consensus on CV-19 peak in Texas, and what do you think that might mean for the Panhandle? Trying to gauge employer response for our company. Thanks in advance and stay well.

My money would put the peak in Texas in late April / Early May.

In B/CS, we have a linear track since the shelter in place order. R^2 of 0.99, so a very tight fit and good linearity.

Slope is 5.7. So we're looking at about 30,700 days or 84 years left to achieve 70% infection rate.

But don't worry, the actual rate is probably 10x reported. So probably only 8.4 years at the current rate of infection.

Is anyone running a model? Would they be willing to post / share?
I'm certain we have an engineer / quant who's had enough boredom to build their own model, no?

Panhandle is about 2 weeks behind Dallas and Houston

Lubbock is ahead of the rest

The major metro areas are all much further ahead than the panhandle so Texas peak likely happens 2 weeks prior to panhandle peak

I wonder if we could get a leaderboard like NASCAR?

I think most of their cases are gonorrhea.

Yeah they haven't tested much at all in BCS. With no data it's hard to predict. We are merely just throwing darts

Good to see Lubbock is still Lubbock even during a pandemic. Its comforting.

Whatever the date is, I will assure that the peak will be 2-3 weeks from that point. Just like Italy appears to have peaked, but "ehhhh not really..." keep moving the goal posts.
