Inspired by ballerstaff, MCMXCVII and aggie1819, whose posts helped me, I'm starting a thread for anyone who wants to share their daily log, maybe it will help others too. Prayer also really helps! I believe it has helped me.

Demographics: 42 y/o male, O+ blood type, 40lbs overweight, previous history of high BP and cholesterol and started meds for BP on Mar 30 during ER visit.

Likely source:
3 days before symptoms- went to ER then 1 hour ambulance transfer to VA hospital for what I thought was a stroke but it was v-tach. Discharged from VA the next day where they told me my episode was caused by v-tach; they said no need to quarantine upon return to home because there were no confirmed cases of COVID where I was in the hospital. I was totally healthy (excluding high BP/cholesterol) and staying at home for 3 weeks before ER visit.

Day 1 (Thurs April 2)
Burning chest with a cough that started in the evening. Took 4000mg vitamin C powder. Middle of the night bad body aches and chills. Called in sick to work (couldn't even do Zoom)

Day 2 Fri April 3:
Around noon, 4 hours after Tylenol, took temp which was about 101. Quarantined myself. Started taking 2000mg vit C powder every 2 hours on a timer.
Temp: 100s to 99s temporal thermometer
SPO2: 97%
Lungs: burning gone, clear
Cough: refusing to cough
Aches: severe
Headache: moderate
Vit C powder dosing: 2000mg every 2 hours
Tylenol: 1000mg at 3am and midnight to help sleep

Day 3 Sat April 4:
Temp: 99s temporal thermometer
SPO2: 98%
Lungs: burning gone, clear
Cough: refusing to cough
Aches: very mild
Headache: moderate
Vit C powder dosing: 2000mg every 2 hours
Tylenol: 500mg at noon

*Sense of taste gone, diminished sense of smell

Day 4 Sun April 5:
Temp: Normal 98s temporal thermometer
SPO2: 97%
Lungs: feeling pressure build, still full breaths
Cough: refusing to cough
Aches: none
Headache: none
Vit C powder dosing: 2000mg every 2 hours
Tylenol: none

**Sense of taste returns to normal

Overall feeling very well and optimistic

Day 5 Mon April 6:
Temp: Normal 98s temporal thermometer
SPO2: 98% after coughing up phlegm
Lungs: much more fluid, RR increased prior to noon
Cough: refusing to cough, but coughed up a large amount of phlegm at noon
Aches: none
Headache: none
Vit C powder dosing: 2000mg every 2 hours, stopped at 10pm to sleep
Tylenol: none
Colloidal silver: 8oz at noon, 4oz at 8pm

Felt terrible and almost panicky due to heavy feeling in chest before noon. Took 8oz of colloidal silver. Had one productive coughing episode then felt very good. About three more episodes of coughing up clear fluid. Took 4 oz of colloidal silver at 8pm. Last dose of vitamin C at 10pm then went to sleep.

Day 6 Tues April 7:
As of 5:57am all symptoms seem to be gone. Chest feels totally clear. I was expecting fluid buildup I'd have to cough up this morning but nothing. I feel totally normal. Praise almighty God. Will continue to quarantine and monitor symptoms.

As of 11:30am:

Temp: 99s temporal thermometer
SPO2: 98% after coughing up phlegm
Lungs: still feel clear
Cough: coughed up a marginal amount of fluid once
Aches: none
Headache: none
Vit C powder dosing: 2000mg every 2 hrs
Tylenol: none
Colloidal silver: 4 oz at 10:30 am (done)
Quercetin: first daily dose (arrived via amazon)

After feeling amazing at 6am, general malaise, fatigue, slightly elevated temp returned.

Day 7 (Wed April 8):
Got my first real restful sleep last night and woke up feeling good like yesterday. The overall malaise is much less bothersome today. Coughed up some fluid. Appetite isn't really back yet. I've lost over 8 lbs in the last 10 days.

3pm- temperature back up in the high 99s after a little too much coughing. Chest is more sore than the last few days.

Temp: 99s temporal thermometer
SPO2: 98%
Lungs: still feel pretty clear but more burn
Cough: coughed up fluid a few times today but no coughing in between to minimize inflammation
Aches: none
Headache: none
Vit C powder dosing: 2000mg every 2 hrs
Tylenol: none
Colloidal silver: 3oz at 3pm
Quercetin: daily dose

Day 8 Thurs April 9:
4:30pm
For the first time yet I woke up NOT having sweated profusely the night before. My sheets were not soaked. I've avoided the malaise all day. The burning is out of the chest except for when coughing. Still feel the illness in my eyes, nose and bronchial tubes. At this point it just feels like a regular mild head cold. I believe I have it beat. We will see.

*BP (for duration) has been 120s/70s with no fever but has been as high as 150s/100s when fever/pain is higher.

*Night sweats. Every single night I have soaked the sheets sweating no matter what my temperature is. Not sure why.

Hang in there.

The amount of vitamin C you are taking is not going to help. Unlikely to be harmful but you are just going to pee it out.

I figure if I only absorb a quarter of the intake, it will help. Proven anti inflammatory. I say it's worked so far quite a bit. I wish I could do IV vitamin C.

In case you were wondering why they are restricting elective procedures, combine this story with how baller got his and then run it out

This sounds like a question from a 1990's AOL chatroom, but...

Age / Gender / Blood Type?

Good question. I updated in OP under demographics.

Updated at bottom of OP. I contacted 3 different testing facilities. 2 said I was not high risk so no test. VA still hasn't called me back from Friday morning so I guess someday they'll call me back and tell me no testing too.

It sounds like you have a couple of symptoms of COVID but it doesn't mean that's what you have. Because you haven't been tested, I wouldn't go around thinking that you're immune just yet. The symptoms you've described so far can be attributed to a lot of things. Have you consulted with a doctor yet? Or have you only been asking about testing?

I disagree. The loss of taste & sense of smell is classic, as are the rest of his symptoms other than resolution of symptoms before 10th day, but admittedly duration symptoms can be quite variable, including asymptomatic. The lack of testing availability make clinical diagnosis necessary when tests are only being used for more severe cases. With transient improvement then worsening with productive cough is suggestive of secondary bacterial infection for which zithromax is reasonable, but fortunately that wasn't necessary in OP's case.

I agreed with you until my sense of taste totally went away for a full day. Never have experienced anything like it. I've also never heard of flu with a bunch of fluid in your lungs. My PC is a VA doctor I've never met. He still hasn't called me back from Friday morning.

With fluid in lungs, were you sitting up or lying down more? Curious what's the comfort position. Able to sleep?

Sitting up more while awake but I sleep almost flat on my side. I find myself in the fetal position when I feel the worst. I'm fortunate to have one of those beds with the adjustable head and foot. Sleep has been terrible. I'm exhausted but I feel better today than I have yet so I'm cautiously optimistic. I was incredibly stunned to wake up with clear lungs. I've coughed a few times but my lungs feels mostly clear now.

Why are people refusing to cough as posted above? Stop the spread or to not inflame lungs more?

Cytokine storm. But I have to cough a little to get up the fluid a couple times per day.

If it doesn't hurt, then don't say anything. Placebos are plenty effective.

Thanks for asking. I'm all better! Still coughing up what's left over and I'm tired. Looking forward to getting my energy back. Blessed I didn't get it as bad as many people.

Update: I was antibody tested yesterday and it came back positive. Almost exactly 4 months later. Don't let the media tell you antibodies just disappear a month later.

I'm currently on standby if needed to do a convalescent directed plasma donation for my father who has COVID-19 right now while awaiting chemotherapy. He got it from several ER visits from complications from his cancer surgery. He's in the ER again tonight getting an abdominal CT scan. They wouldn't let him do the CT scan in the outpatient facility due to his COVID-19 so he had to go through all the hassle of the ER to get a CT scan. Prayers would be appreciated if anyone reads this.

Thanks for the prayers! Pulmonologist today cleared my dad into the <1% likely to develop further Covid complications. He's on day 11 and feels much better. My mom tested positive today but she is an asymptomatic carrier which is an amazing blessing given she has 2 comorbitities. We are so appreciative of all the prayers and I truly love my TexAgs family. Praise God!
