The PM has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, who is the First Secretary of State, to deputise for him where necessary.

I'm not sure it's quite 50% mortality if in the ICU. Now if he gets intubated then it will likely be close to it. However, given his status I'd wager they are being extra careful and monitoring him more closely. But this is purely conjecture based on past experience with VIPs.

I think you're right. According to skynews earlier today, he's not even on a vent.
