I'd be interested in purchasing 100-200 masks. And probably more than that. I know that's not a huge amount. But, let me know what the minimum purchase necessary would be.

Send me an email (it's in the original post) and I can let you know more details.I think our minimum order quantity is going to be 100 as we start this.

I have purchased a case of MERV 16 filter media on Amazon that should be enough to produce approximately 150 inserts for cloth masks using a single layer. That is also roughly equivalent to N95 standard. If you double up the filter, it surpasses N95.

MERV 16 filter media

My wife and I will be cranking these out as soon as it arrives, hopefully by Friday.

That will definitely work for an insert, but be careful that nothing is exposed to skin because I think that's a fiberglass media. A lot of the high efficiency filter media is fiberglass.

How about surgical masks?

Understood, and thanks. We will being producing masks with internal pouches that prevent this issue. The inserts will be made to fit inside the pouches.

I took apart an air filter, and am using MERV 14 polypropylene to put in our cloth masks. Works great. Harder to breath. Was able to make a crap ton of inserts from one filter.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

The Ag engineer that showed how to make masks with air filters said you shouldn't use fiberglass media for these masks because you really don't want to risk getting fiberglass particles in your lungs.

Do your market research, make your masks, I'm gonna keep going to work and see if the world becomes normal again. If not, it's been a good run.

They made their design out of a paper media vacuum bag. No inner material. Just the bag material only. We'll be careful, especially if it turns out to be spun fiberglass instead of spun poly.

ETA:
Did a little digging and found out that this filter is made of fine carbon powder bonded to lofted polyester medium on a spun matrix. We'll still be super careful to keep the face area well protected.

Thank you to everyone who reached out. I'm responding to emails in the order that I received them. We thought there would be some demand, but we underestimated just what the demand would be. We're making some changes that'll help us produce more masks than our original idea. Give me a few days and I'll post an update with when we think we'll be able to formally take orders, quantity requirements, and pricing.

The design we have now is based on a surgical mask, but something that will hold up to washing so it can be reused. We're running tests now to get an idea how many times the media can be washed before the mask needs to be swapped out.
