. . . because of hospital response to Corona virus.

Her friend owns a vet clinic and she understands what her Dr is telling her about the situation. She is not unhappy about it. It's a Stage 1 Uterine cancer that only spreads outside the uterus 3% of the time and responds very well to treatment (IUD, prednisone, other meds). Her friend is a really smart lady and very level headed (that's why my wife likes her so much), so I'm not surprised she is having a positive reaction to the delay. I know a lot of ladies who wouldn't.

Right now OK is doing pretty well in the infected/hospital/death curves and, crossing our fingers, may reach peak very shortly and start the downward part of the curves. So a six week delay could be worst case.

My wife just got this update this morning (she knew about the cancer diagnosis) so she's relieved that it appears things will work out for the best. I'm happy too - my wife losing her BFF would be a huge blow to her.

Many heart bypass surgeries have been postponed indefinitely to save beds ... in hospitals almost empty.

I work for a cancer clinic. We got notified yesterday that most Solis clinics will be closing next week or only open one day a week . The hospital systems will not be doing any biopsies except for one day a week. Port placements are being delayed. No colonoscopies are being done by the biggest GI clinic in town.

We have to now plan for a surge of new patients starting in July when the diagnostic places start getting back to normal.

So the delay your wife's friend is experiencing is happening everywhere.
