Someone tried to model a person coughing and how the virus spreads. I make no claim about the accuracy, but I am skeptical that it's that bad. But does make the case for everyone wearing masks in places like stores.

This assumes that the virus is actually aerosolized and not respiratory droplets, which is controversial at best. Possible, yes, but that's not where the scientific consensus is right now.

Agree that folks are simply not coughing, for the most part, in public. It's allergy season and I don't hear a single cough when I've been to the grocery store. Everyone's holding it in.

This! I got a tickle in my throat this morning at work. I refused to give in and cough. The urge subsided.
