The hospital my wife works at as an ICU RN is recruiting for a study for Hydroxychloroquine for prophylaxis. We are both eligible to sign up. What does everyone think? She is exposed regularly. I can be but much less often.

Probably the Patch-3 study. She should enroll, although might be given placebo.

I will look into signing up for this as well. Tried to get in on the Minnesota study but I could not prove I had been exposed to someone without wearing PPE.

Man I would. HCQ has been proven to be pretty safe drug over decades. I hope you get accepted.

I know several docs who consider hydroxychloroquine among the safer drugs they prescribe in terms of side-effects. They think the concerns are highly overblown after regularly prescribing for non-COVID ailments. I'd start by talking to your own doctor, but personally I wouldn't even blink if I was in your shoes, unless I was at serious risk of vulnerability to QT prolongation.
