Overall, this whole thing really is starting to have a "space race" feel to it. As much as the virus itself will likely change our way of life for the foreseeable future, besides even the more "immediate" solutions, I think a major positive to come out of all of this will be noticeable advancements in all kinds of treatment areas. For instance, I could see this whole UV-C thing posted in another thread easily becoming standard in building codes and what not down the line...

Like I would hope that all commercial building codes will updated to prohibit bathroom doors that open in. And that it would be come the norm in residential building.

I would hope Things like copper cladding on fixtures would become en Vogue for at least a while.

That's a great idea, re: bathroom doors that don't open in. The more things like that the better. Actually, the fewer things I have to touch in public, period, the better.

This whole deal will rapidly advance how we deal with all sorts of disease.
