Re: full recovery, lingering issues, relapse, reinfection.

Lots of reports of these issues. Dont know what to believe.

Its been long enough now people should be recovered. Everything is so spotty and politicized right now, there is just no way to believe anything from media or government.

If it turns out there actually are very many people who are not fully redovering and back to 100%, it would sure be critical help to those of us making decisions.

So if you have personal knowledge or experience, either recovered 100% or otherwise, please post details if you would, even if second hand. It would be much appreciated to have credible information.

Had two employees out of hundreds, frontline essential jobs.

One older (mid50s), one young (23). Both said it wasn't even bad enough to call off of work, normally, but we made them sit out for 14 days. Both said the flu was way worse when they had that.

New update from Daniel Griffin, MD PhD on TWiV podcast released today is really interesting and discusses some of the "issues" they are beginning to see in patients and it's quite diverse

- patients still needing oxygen weeks later
- neurological issues
- kidney issues
- patients who had mild symptoms that didn't require hospitalization now have blood clots they are coming in for
- heart issues
- patients still be RT-qPCR positive for virus after weeks in the hospital

Of course it's not a "one size fits all" and won't be...will be really interesting to hear how some of these develop but will almost be impossible to make sense of for some time when you consider all the factors....

Thats why im hoping people will help here with reliable info.

If we can get real information from actual good people, then we will know something.

I am very appreciative of the info posted by everyone with first or reliable second hand information.

Posting that info here will either save lives or save jobs or both.

Interested in this as well. I've had a slight tickle in my throat since Friday (Went to our ranch for the weekend) I typically get allergies this time of year, but given the range of symptoms who knows...

Btw - zerohedge is admittedly a doom and gloom and 'sky is falling' market site.

Reddit is full of wierd people.

But zeroheadge is so much more credible and informative, and credibly sourced, than any of the major news networks are anymore it is just stunning.

So i guess that leads to request # 2. If you know of a decently credible news source, let us know. Because i know of none anymore.

One of my good friends in NYC and his girlfriend likely had it, all the Classic symptoms. It sounded like it knocked him on his butt for a few days but wasn't anything they needed to be hospitalized for. They're both late 20s/early 30s and generally healthy.

My brother and sister-in-law also think they had it. She's a nurse in Austin. They both had very minor symptoms including two days of loss of taste and smell, cough, really painful sore throat. They got over whatever they had very quickly. They're both very health mid-20s.

They were able to get tested in Texas even with mild symptoms? That's good to hear, I had been reading most got turned away without serious symptoms - which never made sense to me.

One Of my employees possibly had it. She was not tested. Dr. Told her to stay home. She was out for a week. Came back monday and has been fine. Her husband, child, me, and another employee have not had symptoms. We work closely at times. She describes it as a nasty flu. I am waiting for the Igm/Igg yest to become available in my county. She is late 30's.

So just be clear no one on this thread so far has or knows someone with a confirmed case. (Note:bigrob hasn't addressed his employees testing status at the time of this post)

My aunt and uncle both tested positive. 70ish years old and live in Connecticut. Both said it was like the worst flu ever x 2. But they were not considered severe enough to be hospitalized. Uncle was close. He lost over 20lbs in ten days. Couldn't eat much of anything or hold food down.

They are both recovered now.

I personally know two people who had it and are now fine.

Conversely, we found out today that the son of our long time housekeeper and family friend died from it. She called my wife and they talked for a while. Needless to say, it was a bit of a shock. She has worked for my wife's family since she was a kid and my wife remembers when this guy was born.

All three in their 30s. I'm not sure of any underlying health issues with the son. He was a nurse.

Where about in CT?

Our family possibly had it. Wife and son had sever dry cough, drowsiness, shortness of breath. I just had the cough. No one had a fever though. Couldn't get tested. Lasted up to 2 weeks. My 6mo old had 0 symptoms.

Curious if the nurse had an intense exposure from treating COVID patients. Massive viral load and the infection is so much, so fast that the immune system stands no chance.

This was my thought as well but who knows. We are in process of helping her get his remains home. He was out of town working so she never got to see him at all during this ordeal. He was cremated there.

I have posted this on other threads. My wife and BIL both had confirmed cases almost one month ago. I would venture to guess that I had it as well due to some of the same symptoms, but never took a test.

My BIL lost taste for 4-5 days and that was the extent of his issues. He is 36 years old and in pretty good shape. He has been 100% since getting his taste back.

My wife lost taste for about 1-2 days very early, low grade fever for the first 2 days, very tired for about the first 3 days and a persistent cough for two weeks. She is 40 years old and in very good shape. She never took a day off from remote working.

I had the same symptoms as my wife minus the loss in taste. I also had more headache issues than her and one day of Nausea where I wanted throw up but never could. My cough also lasted about two weeks. Both of our coughs started becoming more productive during week 2. None of us had the horrible breathing issues you hear about or massive aching. I stayed working remotely the whole time as well. I am also 40 and in pretty decent shape.

My dad had it. 61 years old. Said it was the worst thing he has ever experienced and will laugh at anyone comparing it to the flu.

A buddy of mine lost his brother last week. He was 64.

My Boss' wife has had it.

5 days of body aches (never had a fever)...she said it felt like a minor flu like ache. 2 days being ache free then it hit her lungs. Shortness of breath and some coughing. 3 weeks since that started and every day is a bit better but last week she tried to gut it out per my boss and carry some books up a flight of stairs and had to sit down on the landing for 5 or 10 minutes to fully catch her breath.

Compares it to only having some of your lungs vs the breathing underwater that others have talked about.

Mid 40's in above avg. to good shape (works out multiple times a week including the first two days of the achy phase.).

Neither my boss nor his early 20s daughter have had symptoms. They're taking an antibody test this week.

He said there was no real way to not be exposed to it due to the subtle onset of symptoms so his assumption is he is asymptomatic.

Had posted some of this in the "Do you Actually Know Anyone With Covid" thread a while back , but here's an update.

I know 9 actual people now who either got it, recovered, or who have it now. 4 of the 9 were from one family. The dad in that family (still unclear on his age) just died this past Friday after about a 3 week battle. The other 3 in the family had non-hospitalization symptoms and I think are on the other end of it on the way to recovery.

I know a 20 year old that was hospitalized for 9 days. No underlying conditions, in fairly decent shape. He's told friends and family he would not wish that upon his worst enemies.

The others all were either mild or mild enough to do self care/quarantine at home.

Don't you see the inherent issues with farming for anecdotes? That's probably the least scientific thing you can do.

FWIW, anecdotally, I have 5 family members with CV across the country.
