PPE almost impossible to come by at the hospital; situation is extremely bad. Anyone have a source for face shields or masks? Will pay to ship directly to my friend. His wife is a very recent breast cancer survivor so keeping him healthy is vital. Thank you for any help/suggestions/leads you may have.

Curious why there is such a huge need for face shields. Cant these be wiped down with a sanitizer and reused?

I just remembered reading last week about the brother or brother-in-law of an Obgyn in Westport, CT whose company is making shields for healthcare workers. I believe his company was in NJ or PA. I'll try and get contact info and email it to you and post on here.

This is an all volunteer group of guys doing this.

Contact this non profit - they normally do 3D prosthetics. They will get you and your colleagues what they need.

I tried to order 3 5packs of N95 on McMaster like 4 weeks back and they quoted 2-3 week lead time. Checked last night and it's another 5 weeks out. Just wanted a couple on hand for backups for colleagues at my facility as were doing temp screenings every day. Crazy shortage. I wish you luck and good on you for helping your friend.
