Hi. In recent days I've seen some articles discussing the adverse affects of Covid-19 and the heart and cardiovascular system. I have an ascending aortic aneurysm measuring 4.2 that was discovered last October. My current protocol is to take 50mg Metoprolol daily, monitor my blood pressure which isn't a problem and have annual CT scans to monitor. As we were debating to evacuate from Zambia back to the states, the only thing my doctor mentioned that any type of bad infection could cause my blood pressure to increase, which affects the growth of the aneurysm. That was in mid-March when less was known about the virus however.

Question for the docs - have any of you heard of any more specific issues of Covid 19 affecting aortic aneurysms? Thanks
