Easy spread from close quarters
Some bed ridden can't get up and can't be distanced from each other. Low immunity

See my post above ... but I'll repeat

Easy spread from close quarters

It was about 13% (3800/30,000) 2 weeks ago and has been steadily going up..

Social distancing has almost certainly "focused" the spread of cases towards those places with larger populations where there is more room to spread, i.e. nursing homes, prisons, etc.

Don't understand your point
1) Nursing Home: How do you get patients in a nursing home bed that's probably 4 feet or so from the other persons beds... to social distance much less get away from coughing and such
2) NY Subway: How's the 6' rule gonna work there?
3) Prison/Jail?
4) Homeless Shelter?
etc etc

Sick/asymptomatic workers with prolonged contact. Many pull extra shifts in hospitals. Also PPE availability in nursing homes is going to be worse than most places.

Why would it be shocking that a virus that almost exclusively manifests symptoms in the elderly would be increasingly prevalent in a place where the elderly live in high concentration/density?

Why would you expect otherwise? I'm generally curious.
