Have there been any studies done other than the Chinese study from early April that indicated only 1 of the 7,000 or so cases was from outdoor transmission?

If you are outside and 6 feet away from people who aren't actively coughing and sneezing, I would imagine the odds are very low.

There was TV blip from Fort Detrick scientist yesterday news saying that according to their studies, COVID 19 deactivates within minutes in the sun.

This is believable since COVID 19 is composed of lipid core...

Fort Detrick was a premier US Army lab that housed biological warfare constitutions that may have morphed to different institution currently.

I would imagine they are extremely low just simply being outdoors even if you get within 6 feet of people occasionally. Now, constantly being right next to someone might increase that, but viruses in general aren't spread outdoors. Particularly in Texas. There's a reason we never have a flu season from May to October.

Super spreader events like church, school, indoor actiivites with 30 people, etc are what do it.

I actually wonder about this.
Did a hike last weekend and it was way more crowded than normal with all the state and county parks closed and options limited. Probably passed 30 people on the way up. You would be walking through the expelled breath for many steps after each one of them. And then at the top was a rock formation that who knows how many touched during the day.
Would be good to know the real risks on excursions like that. Not that I would stop likely, but might take a few extra precautions if it's relatively risky.

Again, I'd venture a guess to say virtually nil.

From what I've read they think the spread occurred more at the after party. Hugging, kissing, clubbing that kind of thing.

I think something similar happened in Germany too.

Here is more information than I can understand on droplets and transmission indoors. Isn't the same as outdoors but I will guess that outdoors is less infections with increased airflow. National Center for Biotechnology Information Natural Ventilation for Infection Control in Health-Care Settings

And here is an article that says only 1 in 314 outbreak cases in a China study were the result of outdoor transmission and another stat that the chance of indoor transmission is 20 times higher. Safer Outdoors

That game was played at the San Siro, which is a 75k seat stadium with most of the stands covered but still outdoors. The stadium was about half full(it is not their normal home stadoum), but entire sections were closed off. So the fans in attendance were packed in.

That's just for information only. No idea if it had any impact on the actual spread. My uneducated guess is the bars and nightclubs and locker rooms had a lot to do with it.
I don’t say this in a braggedocious way. But it’s true. I’ve been right about everything.
