Britain's death toll is finally starting to go down. On Sunday, Britain announced 268 deaths, down from 346 more Saturday, 626 Friday and a record 1,172 on April 4.

Go there and look at the daily deaths. The daily deaths seem to follow a 6-8 day cycle. They'll likely pop back up Monday.

Same thing here in the US.

Even so it's been trending down since the 21st

The consistency of the peaks and valleys on that downtrend is pretty satisfying.

That said, aren't they still shutdown? Are they also hiring people and implementing a contact tracing app and plan for reopening?

That's not entirely true. The UK government are allowing them to restart, but the league may choose differently. A lot of the players aren't thrilled with the idea.

They've been through so much. Must they now endure soccer?

Young super healthy soccer players with almost no chance of dying don't want to play? I don't believe that. Maybe a few but the vast majority have to want to play. It's outdoors as well.

they have millions of reasons to want to play. Sure a few outspoken ones perhaps crying. I guarantee most are ready to have some fun playing soccer, make some huge cash and take their chances.

Took till Tuesday. 627 today, one more than Friday's peak. Still peaks appear to be trending down which is great news.

Danny Rose is not doing a good job of curbing the idea that soccer players are poosays.

Nobody can force you to play. I guarantee there is a hungrier player willing to take the open spot.

So....

Do people not understand that morale is a huge key to all livelihood?

If you don't think 7 billion depressed individuals won't cause a few million deaths, IDK what to tell you(yes that's extreme, obviously not everyone is depressed right now and there are plenty of people who still have much to enjoy). But some peoples biggest out is sports. We have to find a way to have some entertainment and enjoyment in life. If you can provide that, now is the best possible time to do so.

No. There are many that are addicted to drama, outrage, doom and gloom.

Dan, buddy. You must not understand the definition of morale. In a time of crisis, boosting others morale is a very important thing.

Sounds like ole Danny has a case of the virus known as virtue signaling. It's very dangerous as it can turn one into an ass with no warning.

To be honest, does anyone on Texags care if Danny isn't in the line up?
