Lubbock reported just 2 new cases Saturday, and none today! Total remains at 619. Meanwhile, our neighbors to the north had 734 new cases just on Saturday! Over 50 more today. Tyson meat packing plant is a major hot spot. Pretty amazing. Amarillo now has over 2,600 cases, mostly related to meat packing plants.

I haven't heard much on Midland/Odessa.

Massive blanket testing of an entire workforce will generate a ton of positives.

Sounds like very few are hospitalized, so that's a good sign.

Active cases are down to 196 and recovered is at 373. I am not even following total cases anymore because the peak in Lubbock happened a month ago. It's hard to believe that. I think we have done a much better job of protecting our nursing homes as the cases there have pretty much stopped, and a majority of our deaths were from the nursing home.

Lubbock has years of building up immunity through STDs.

Midland and Odessa with about 100 each, also low numbers in San Angelo and Abilene

midland Odessa numbers are surprising really considering how many people had been out and about prior to the shutdown and oil turndown. Flights landing every 15 minutes. People interacting all over the place.

23 new cases Friday, and 34 new cases today in Lubbock. This after a few weeks of regular single digit new cases.

Yeah, it has been a tough couple days, but it has been encouraging that only 11 hospitalized and still at 51 deaths.

Praying that new cases go down again.

I have it, and multiple people I know in Houston have it. It's about to take off and i fear we will once again overreact. We knew this would happen. It has to.
