We've used this on several high-risk patients in our non-ICU Covid unit as part of one of the trials and I don't recall a single one of them needing to upgrade to ICU. Purely anecdotal, but our docs have been quite pleased.

I normally donate platelets once a month at the local blood bank. When I called to make an appointment I shared my situation (I tested positive for Covid on May 1) and they've asked me to donate plasma. It's great to hear this is an avenue of treatment that appears to work.

Through this morning we have collected and shipped over 900 doses to hospitals in or service area and a several outside our service region.

If hospital demand is any indicator, it seems to be working, as daily demand out paces or ability to recruit, collect and process the donations. Daily we are shopping 25-30 doses with our high point being 40+ about 1 week ago.

Docs I speak to mostly hve positive feedback, but can't get into specific studies. However, I have seen some news articles on patients I know received the treatment being released locally.

Glad to see more news article showing at least some efficacy of the efforts.
