What were the first symptoms to start showing up? Was it quick or slow progression?
Im going to get my test this morning, but I have the same/simalar symptoms, may just be some type of allergy but figured I can go spend $125 and get tested, I am/was around family and friends last weekend so I thought I would get tested. once I get moving during the day its not bad at all, I would be on day 7 (gambled in Lake Charles last Thursday) if I have it. dam gambling gonna give me the COIVID..ea1060 said:
First day was a slight cough, stuffy nose. Second day was slight cough, stuffy nose, low grade fever, chills, body aches. Third day was sore throat, chills, body aches. I seemed to get a different symptom everyday, the cough would go away then I would get an ear ache. But the one thing that remained consistent was the chills/body aches and stuffy nose, that stayed with me throughout.
I'm currently on day 9 of symptoms and I just tested positive a few days ago. It hasn't been that bad honestly, it just feels like a sinus infection or bad allergies. The thing that sucks is I'll feel fine all day and then the chills and body aches come back.

My first symptoms were low grade fever, severe backache, and stomach issues. Symptoms got progressively worse for me to high grade fever, all over body aches, loss of appetite, fatigue, cough, difficulty breathing, etc.
because the $125 gets me an appointment time slot and I don't have to sit in some 50 car line waiting 2-3 hours for a public issued test.. more importantly, I don't have to wait in line with any idiots that may have some stupid agendaea1060 said:fullback44 said:Im going to get my test this morning, but I have the same/simalar symptoms, may just be some type of allergy but figured I can go spend $125 and get tested, I am/was around family and friends last weekend so I thought I would get tested. once I get moving during the day its not bad at all, I would be on day 7 (gambled in Lake Charles last Thursday) if I have it. dam gambling gonna give me the COIVID..ea1060 said:

Why are you spending $125 on the test? Not sure where you're located but you can pretty much get tested for free at most of the testing sites in Texas.

His experience is similar to the flu, except for the duration (I've never had the flu for 9 days). But not everyone has it the same, obviously.annie88 said:

For those who are posting their stories on infection if you are not too vain I would love to know your age and gender as these 2 factors I think play a major role in how bad your symptoms are. Specifically any males early 40's have it and how bad it was.
You don't mention any loss of taste or smell.ea1060 said:

Have you experienced either of those symptoms?

My first symptom was body aches and then I woke up that same night as the first aches with a fever that didn't quit for 14 days. My onset felt quick, I went from mildly uncomfortable to really sick in less than 24 hours.wbr_iii said:

They gave my wife Tamiflu when she got swine flu and it did nothing for her. She was miserable for weeks. Somehow I never got it. They gave me Tamiflu as a prophylactic. Not sure if that prevented it or if I was naturally immune but I took very few precautions and never got it from her.
That wouldn't surprise me. I almost never get colds but I get the flu every few years. I do have type O blood so I wonder if that somehow protects against colds since most of them are coronaviruses. The other thing that is weird is that my wife and I never get sick at the same time. When she got swine flu I was fine. She has type A blood - wonder if the blood type has something to do with the immune system and susceptibility.murphyag said:Gumby said:

This sounds weird. But, I've always felt that I'm immune from the flu. I have never had the actual flu. I've had plenty of upper respiratory infections, had bronchitis twice, pneumonia, sinusitis, strep throat, ear infections, etc. But, never the actual flu. I've always felt it came from having a step parent who was an ER doctor and being exposed to whatever germs of the day that were brought home on the scrubs. But, I also can't recall either of my parents ever having the flu either.
