What were the first symptoms to start showing up? Was it quick or slow progression?

First day was a slight cough, stuffy nose. Second day was slight cough, stuffy nose, low grade fever, chills, body aches. Third day was sore throat, chills, body aches. I seemed to get a different symptom everyday, the cough would go away then I would get an ear ache. But the one thing that remained consistent was the chills/body aches and stuffy nose, that stayed with me throughout.

I'm currently on day 9 of symptoms and I just tested positive a few days ago. It hasn't been that bad honestly, it just feels like a sinus infection or bad allergies. The thing that sucks is I'll feel fine all day and then the chills and body aches come back.

What was your peak temperature, and what is your current temperature? Thanks for your insights.

Yes I can sleep just fine. I've been taking more naps lately with nothing else to do lol. I probably sleep better now than I did pre Covid.

Peak temperature was 101.5 or something like that. Although I didn't have a thermometer on the 3rd day of symptoms when I think my temperature was at its highest. I woke up that day in cold sweats just shivering.

Current temperature this morning was 100.7, although the high temperatures dont seem to last and goes down 30 minutes to an hour later. For the most part my temperature has been normal, but seems to spike in the morning after I wake up. It's weird, I measured 100.7 about an hour ago and now I'm 98.5.

Im going to get my test this morning, but I have the same/simalar symptoms, may just be some type of allergy but figured I can go spend $125 and get tested, I am/was around family and friends last weekend so I thought I would get tested. once I get moving during the day its not bad at all, I would be on day 7 (gambled in Lake Charles last Thursday) if I have it. dam gambling gonna give me the COIVID..

Ill report back when I get my results..

Why are you spending $125 on the test? Not sure where you're located but you can pretty much get tested for free at most of the testing sites in Texas.

My first symptoms were low grade fever, severe backache, and stomach issues. Symptoms got progressively worse for me to high grade fever, all over body aches, loss of appetite, fatigue, cough, difficulty breathing, etc.

Interesting you mention the backache because I had a really bad backache as well. I never saw that mentioned as a typical Covid symptom and wasn't sure if it was due to covid or just a bad back. It felt like I had worked out my back and it was just extremely sore for a few days.

because the $125 gets me an appointment time slot and I don't have to sit in some 50 car line waiting 2-3 hours for a public issued test.. more importantly, I don't have to wait in line with any idiots that may have some stupid agenda

Point taken, but you can schedule an appointment with CVS and it's free. I think no matter where you go, there will be a wait and slight annoyances.

Thought it was seasonal allergies until someone who I was in close contact with tested positive. If it weren't for them I would've never know/ never been tested. I guess I was lucky to have a VERY mild case.

I recently found out 3 people I had contact with in March have antibodies and they had families members that were sick (they were asymptomatic). I was tired the next week and got a sinus infection, thinking I may get tested sometime.

For those who are posting their stories on infection if you are not too vain I would love to know your age and gender as these 2 factors I think play a major role in how bad your symptoms are. Specifically any males early 40's have it and how bad it was.

2 of the guys in the 40s I know that had it had zero symptoms. Their wives were down for 2-3 days, their kids differed but longest they were sick was 5 days.

His experience is similar to the flu, except for the duration (I've never had the flu for 9 days). But not everyone has it the same, obviously.

You don't mention any loss of taste or smell.
Have you experienced either of those symptoms?

I got the flu in my early 30s and it morphed into bronchitis that affected me for several months. My wife was out of commission for 2 weeks with swine flu and had to be hospitalized overnight. Compared to the people on this thread I would say the flu is often far worse.

I tested positive on Tuesday. It looks like I was exposed on 6/7 from other positive cases I know of. The only symptoms I've had are body aches and the loss of taste and smell. The loss of taste and smell started Monday and that's when I knew I'd test positive. Otherwise I wouldn't have thought I had it. I've never had a fever or cough. I'm a 36 year old male.

My first symptom was body aches and then I woke up that same night as the first aches with a fever that didn't quit for 14 days. My onset felt quick, I went from mildly uncomfortable to really sick in less than 24 hours.

Interesting.. I'm 50 and have had the flu numerous times, but have never run a fever for nine days. I'm pretty sure the longest I was sick pre-Tamiflu was six days. With Tamiflu, I've never been sick longer than three or four days and it was pretty mild.

They gave my wife Tamiflu when she got swine flu and it did nothing for her. She was miserable for weeks. Somehow I never got it. They gave me Tamiflu as a prophylactic. Not sure if that prevented it or if I was naturally immune but I took very few precautions and never got it from her.

This sounds weird. But, I've always felt that I'm immune from the flu. I have never had the actual flu. I've had plenty of upper respiratory infections, had bronchitis twice, pneumonia, sinusitis, strep throat, ear infections, etc. But, never the actual flu. I've always felt it came from having a step parent who was an ER doctor and being exposed to whatever germs of the day that were brought home on the scrubs. But, I also can't recall either of my parents ever having the flu either.

That wouldn't surprise me. I almost never get colds but I get the flu every few years. I do have type O blood so I wonder if that somehow protects against colds since most of them are coronaviruses. The other thing that is weird is that my wife and I never get sick at the same time. When she got swine flu I was fine. She has type A blood - wonder if the blood type has something to do with the immune system and susceptibility.

My spouse got sick about 10 days after me. I was mainly isolated in my bedroom, but he was checking on me, bringing in food, etc. Fortunately his symptoms were much milder than mine. We both isolated from our kids as much as possible and wore masks anytime we had to go in the same room with them. They did not get sick and their antibody tests were negative.

My one and only symptom was a really strange disruption to my sense of smell.

The sense of smell did not go away. Instead, I had lots of strange smells. Anything that should have had an odor still had an odor, but nothing at all like it should have had.

The symptom lasted about 6 to 8 hours, but it prompted me to go get tested.
