What does this mean? When are you being told you can go back to work?

I haven't checked in with my office because at best I'm maybe halfway to whatever their guideline is.

CDC says 3 days symptom free and 10 days from onset of symptoms. I don't like the testing criteria for return as people can have positive tests for several weeks. However, 2 studies I have seen looked at this and there was no viral growth after 7 days from onset of symptoms in one study and 8 days in another. These again are people who continued to test positive.

I'm going by the CDC guidelines which is:

10 days after first symptoms
3 days of no fever and improved symptoms
2 negative tests in a 24 hour period.

My issue with this is that I'm on at least day 9. I still have symptoms. I've never had fever.

And how am I supposed to get these tests done and get results quickly? My wife was tested Tuesday and still waiting for results.

I hearya man. Per the CDC it's not zero symptoms, it's 3 days of improved symptoms. I'm on day 11 and my symptoms have improved for the last 2 days, although I still have slight congestion and stuffy nose. But no more fever or chills.

The testing sucks but it is what it is. I just got tested two days in a row at CVS and hoping for some negative results.

So what if you never had symptoms but got tested because you were exposed, and you come up positive? Then when are you clear if you never had symptoms?

Good point, but in that case I would assume ten days or so after being tested and two negative tests in a 24 hour period.

As far as work, does your company not have a clear protocol? We have a clear set of parameters for what it takes to be allowed to come back and an exposure guideline for quarantine and basically everything relates to Covid.
