but now even that isn't a sure thing whether you've had it or not, or have some kind of immunity or not.

I really hate this thing and just wish we had 100% information, but that takes years of study to get to.

Didn't you or your wife test positive for Covid antibodies a few weeks ago? If so, wouldn't this be somewhat surprising with how contagious it is being said to be? Thank you for sharing!

Yes, my wife tested positive in April for antibodies. I was negative. I have tested twice since then, all negative.

She's not here today, so she doesn't even know yet. I am going to let her know when I take my lunch break.

Yes, she was shocked. No known exposure or any symptoms. She wants to get tested with the PCR nasopharyngeal swab. I told her it is unlikely to have IgG positive with active infection, but she lives with a high-risk individual, so she wants peace of mind.

We had one employee in our veterinary hospital test positive with the swab. We all got swabbed. No other positives. 25ish employees.

Very interesting. Seems to support the idea that asymptomatics don't tend to spread it?

When giving blood yesterday, one of the employees of the blood bank told me about the daughter of a friend of hers. The daughter had a bad case of covid-19 and spent some time in a hospital as a result. According to the blood bank employee, the daughter has now recovered and has no detectable antibodies to covid-19.

Yeah this is the info i want. People that did test for an active case that then end up with not antigens. Why?

I took the Cellex antibody test a few weeks ago and tested negative. I took the test out of curiosity because my wife had a confirmed case and I was sick at the same time she was. We shared a bed and food before we knew she had it. This was also very early and testing wasn't what it is today. My doctor suggested I not come in for a test because there wasn't much they could do. This was also right before all the plasma donor stuff started. I wish I would have taken the test in hindsight to maybe help someone else.

Having said all that, the dude at the testing place for the antibody test said he had seen confirmed cases not test positive for the antibodies. It's truly an interesting virus.

The testing facility gave you the results not the patient? That breaks several HIPAA violations on their part as well as yours.

Dr. Fauci spent a little time on that yesterday in his testimony. If it's something that interests you, they usually have written transcripts of hearings a day or so after or the video itself is probably on C-Span.

Came here to post that this sounds incredibly creepy. I would NEVER allow my employer to handle any of my medical information unless I deem it necessary. A positive Covid test included.

We just went through this at work and only after the employee got a negative test did he want to share that he was ok.

Thought it was odd too, that they sent all results in one folder to the company email. Turns out all the employees filled out the requisition form with the company email address as the one they wanted it reported to.

Were they explicitly instructed that it was their test and their results, or just that the company was testing everyone and they felt it was implied they needed to provide the results to the company? We have had to do this with employees now that get exposed, and we will arrange for them to be tested and pay for it. However only they act as contact. Corporate has a mandatory 14 day quarantine unless you choose to provide proof of the negative test.

Sorry it is insane to allow testing results to come back to someone other than the person taking the test.
