I just found out tonight that someone I was talking to on Wednesday tested positive for covid-19 either Thursday or Friday.

I sure hope that I have some immunity.

In the meantime, I shall be in quarantine again.

Time to begin taking the quercetin and zinc gluconate again as well.

Don't forget to sign up at the coffee blood center to give plasma... it's desperately needed.

I tried but never got any kind of response. I did give blood this past Monday. According to their web site, I'm not eligible to donate again until August 17.

I'm hoping that the blood center can tell me whether or not I was still testing positive for covid-19 on Monday. If I was, then another blood test in the near future might be useless.

Thanks for giving.

Are they doing antibody testing there? I know that OBI in Oklahoma city is, and that coffee is a subsidiary of them. Wasn't sure if they follow exact same procedures or not due to distance from OKC.

They said that they would test for both active covid-19 and for antibodies.

This was in the bus they use for remote collections. When I walked in, I handed them my Texas Department of State Health Services letter that officially released me from isolation, but they didn't seem to know what to do with it. I kind of expected them to tell me to go to Amarillo and give plasma, but after some discussion, they just took a regular blood donation.

If I'm not mistaken your first bout of symptoms was very mild ?

Keep us posted for the curious.

It appears that it was just a rumor that the woman at the office down the street tested positive. I talked to her this morning on the telephone and she was still at work and said that she hasn't tested positive.

Well from an empathy standpoint, that is good news.

From a cold clinical standpoint, I was curious what would happen.

So I am about 99.5/0.05 split on this.

It's back on.

I just got back from their office. It turns out that they didn't want to say anything over the telephone.

I was sitting across the table from the woman on Wednesday afternoon and she tested positive Thursday.

Also, I found out this afternoon that I've been exposed to two different people who were both exposed to the same young woman who tested positive the other day.

I have heard that some of us have antigens and it won't affect us regardless of the exposure to it.

I was reading one report of cases of people who were asymptomatic but had the ground glass opacities in their lungs. I don't know if they determined those opacities to be the result of having an asymptomatic case of covid-19, though.

I'm a recovering Covid-19 patient and I think I'm on the downside after a week of being symptomatic. I have a question regarding an upcoming trip in late July to Mexico. Would it be necessary for me to quarantine upon my return to the US since I will now have antibodies?

If you can find it, would you post the link to this article? I'd be interested in reading it. Thanks!

This was a study about the Diamond Princess passengers. I think there was another article about the topic that basically classified asymptomatic people as having walking pneumonia.

A guy I know posted about his wife, who is a nurse at one of the Houston Hospitals.

Beyond treating patients daily with covid, he said that someone's chart was mislabeled as not having COVID and she didn't go into the room in full PPE because of this.

Turns out the guy did have COVID an coughed on her.

Three nasal tests later, she's never tested positive or had symptoms. She also did the antibody test and was also negative.

So there's certainly some underlying factors that are naturally protecting people.

I don't know her age exactly, but she's going to be in her late 20's to early 30's
