If exposed to someone with the virus and you assume you caught it, how long does it take for you to now become a spreader of the virus?

Can you spread it right away? Does it take a couple days?

All I really see when I look for this answer relates to the incubation period but I would like to know from more knowledgeable people about how quickly you possible become a spreader. Any information is appreciated

I think the average time is 3 days. Not sure what the quickest possible time would be.
