Just curious if there's a difference in the way the virus is affecting folks with type 1 vs type 2 diabetes. Wife has been type 1 since a child and it's really the only thing that concerns me about the virus.
She has a pump and has always been really good with her numbers. In fact when she was pregnant with our son her doc said the numbers were so good it was virtually like she didn't even the disease

As I said I am no Dr. though so don't hold me to that!

Everything Ryan just said is what I have been told by Endocrinologists. I have read several blogs and articles from Type 1s that endured the disease and had no issues with glucose swings.

Not an expert but I am T2. I read all I can about CV-19 and diabetes. The general idea is T1 and T2 handle CV-19 when they are well managed. For many folks with limited health care access they also have other issues that are not well managed as in high blood pressure and/or weight. CV-19 patients with unmanaged diabetes, blood pressure, and a BMI north of 30 are having way more issues than patients that have these under control.

I was diagnosed with T2 last August and went through my first round of follow-up in November. The doctor gave me high praise for making the neccessary changes to get my glucose, BP, and weight numbers under control. She said they have so many patients that get diagnosed but don't really make any changes.
