Yes. She developed shock and multi-system organ failure 5 days or so after admit so BP meds held. On pressors rest of way. Severe acute renal failure then acute myocardial involvement at end. That has been the most ominous aspect of this I've seen. Uniformly fatal.

Are the RN's symptoms and cause of death similar in other actual Covid deaths?

This is what worries me the most. I know a number of people that have it but the range of symptoms are concerning. Every day I can taste my food is another day I don't have Covid.

So, if I understand this correctly, if you have high blood pressure but even if it's being controlled by meds, you can still have major issues with this virus?

I don't think the general public truly understands what "underlying health conditions" means in the context of this virus. If they did, there would be a lot more voluntary mask wearing etc

It seems like a lot of folks just chalk up "underlying health conditions" to mean people died that just were grossly unhealthy and not even trying to take care of themselves. It certainly isn't all of them, but there is a segment of them that comes off as this is just some cleansing of fat and unhealthy people.

One of our doctor friends (maybe Marcus) said it about a month ago. The amount of undiagnosed hypertension in the broader 35-49 age group is massive. Couple that with the complete illusion of semi healthy body types caused by the American diet and you have a huge lack of understanding of what underlying conditions means
