body aches. That's about it. Should I head to the hospital?
This is good advice to follow. If you feel like you need more, I suggest you contact your PCP or Teladoc if you have it available. They will be your best source for self monitoring and guidance.Quote:
Obviously self isolate. This article seems to be pretty straight forward.

This x 100 The hospital won't admit you until saturation drops below 90.ChoppinDs40 said:
Get an oximter from amazon or CVS for $30 and check your O2 levels frequently. Drops below 90, go to the hospital.

Why would you think you needed to go to the hospital with a fever and body aches? People going to the ER for this kind of thing just clogs up the system for people that actually need it.
My father, 65, and uncle, 68, both tested positive and had some bad symptoms. Uncle got double lung pneumonia.oldcrow91 said:Silky Johnston said:

I bought a blood oxygen tester when this started. That's going to be a big indicator whether I would go to dr or even get tested. Of course depending other symptoms as well.
ETA: I hadn't read last two posts.
You know normal colds and flu didn't go away in all of this...Amazing Moves said:
my breathing is fine. Just aches and pains. Runny nose intermittently. Chills. I feel kinda hot but, not anything awful. I felt worse yesterday. However, I didn't check for fever. My body aches and chills were worse.
To be fair, how many people really get the flu in late July in Texas? Maybe I just have never been unfortunate enough to get it in the summer, but I really have never heard of anyone getting the flu in the summer. I'm sure it happens, but it's pretty rare, no?GEA89 said:You know normal colds and flu didn't go away in all of this...Amazing Moves said:

Flu is seasonal. Dec-April mainly. Colds can occur anytime. But IMO that fever with myalgias is covid during this pandemic until proven otherwise. But during late fall / winter. Different story. 10% of covid co-tracked with Flu A During March/April.GEA89 said:You know normal colds and flu didn't go away in all of this...Amazing Moves said:

My advice: go get an Immune System boost, shots or IVs.
Did you test positive for COVID? Or just have a viral GI illness?MasterAggie said:
OP that sounds like how mine started. I then got horrible stomach cramping and peed out of my butt for a couple of days. I think I was down 3 days total and felt normal in about a week or so. If I had any respiratory issues I didn't notice it being worse than my normal allergies.
I would have thought the same. I work outside most of the day and have my temperature taken once a day. No matter how hot, it always comes back no fever.Moon Shadow said:
Not trying to be funny, but I will bet my body temp was that high last week in the 100+ temperatures and working outside.
Central AC is wonderful.
I hope you don't mind if I ask why. Can't this just be a stomach virus that is going around? Those still exists don't they. My daughter and her roommate had this a couple of weeks ago and I have heard of others having it. I haven't heard of any of them testing positive.bigtruckguy3500 said:Did you test positive for COVID? I'm seeing a lot of Nausea/Vomiting/Diarrhea with headache around here that are COVID negative, some of whom have had close contact with COVID positives. So I treat them as false negatives and have them continue their quarantine isolation for 10days/72 hours.
Yes, Dr. Coates, MD (Reveille) has consistently given a well documented routine with known contents for keeping one's immune system strong. It's very easy to find on his thread.Keller6Ag91 said:

It absolutely could be. And I think some people are missing pathology by putting on the blinders and thinking only COVID and not working up other conditions.AggieBiker said:I hope you don't mind if I ask why. If you consider this a false negative, wouldn't you need some reference of others who presented the same and eventually showed positive with the same symptoms or had the antibodies?
This and your original post are exactly the things you should post on Reveille's thread - he'll respond.Amazing Moves said:
So zinc, quercetin and D3-5 along with V-C? Is that a good cocktail?
