Obviously self isolate. This article seems to be pretty straight forward.

This is good advice to follow. If you feel like you need more, I suggest you contact your PCP or Teladoc if you have it available. They will be your best source for self monitoring and guidance.

my breathing is fine. Just aches and pains. Runny nose intermittently. Chills. I feel kinda hot but, not anything awful. I felt worse yesterday. However, I didn't check for fever. My body aches and chills were worse.

Why would you think you needed to go to the hospital with a fever and body aches? People going to the ER for this kind of thing just clogs up the system for people that actually need it.

That's what I kinda figured. Which is the reason I asked instead of running to ER. I wanted some prospective.

Thanks to all who posted above.

Yeah, treat symptoms with OTC meds. May have it, maybe not. Isolate and warn others you've been around that you're sick. At this point just assume you have it. Donate blood in a few weeks and they'll let you know if you had it.

Get an oximter from amazon or CVS for $30 and check your O2 levels frequently. Drops below 90, go to the hospital.

This x 100 The hospital won't admit you until saturation drops below 90.

I bought a blood oxygen tester when this started. That's going to be a big indicator whether I would go to dr or even get tested. Of course depending other symptoms as well.

ETA: I hadn't read last two posts.

My father, 65, and uncle, 68, both tested positive and had some bad symptoms. Uncle got double lung pneumonia.

Both went to hospital. Dad was at 92% O2. Uncle was at 96%. Sent them both home after giving them a steroid pill and anti-biotics and said take it easy. Took my dad probably 10 days to get over. Uncle about 10 as well.

To be fair, how many people really get the flu in late July in Texas? Maybe I just have never been unfortunate enough to get it in the summer, but I really have never heard of anyone getting the flu in the summer. I'm sure it happens, but it's pretty rare, no?

I had a dry, persistent cough two weeks ago, My only symptom. Nothing else. Self-isolated for 10 days after onset. Got tested for antibodies Tuesday. Negative. I guess my thinking that I may of had it in early December was incorrect too.

Flu is seasonal. Dec-April mainly. Colds can occur anytime. But IMO that fever with myalgias is covid during this pandemic until proven otherwise. But during late fall / winter. Different story. 10% of covid co-tracked with Flu A During March/April.

I got antibody tested yesterday as part of routine bloodwork with my physical. I thought I had COVID back in January after getting sick about four days after coming back from Mexico. Negative. Doctor said he isn't seeing anybody coming back with antibodies from illnesses in Jan/Feb, even on cases he treated and would have sworn clinically were COVID. He said he wouldn't necessarily rule out that I had it, just no testable antibodies left. I also haven't gotten sick being the main errand runner for the family.

Keep up with the quercetin and zinc for sure. Cold and flu season is gonna suck - every seasonal cold and flu, which are plenty, treated as Covid precautionary, is gonna cause havoc with all the self isolating for days.

OP that sounds like how mine started. I then got horrible stomach cramping and peed out of my butt for a couple of days. I think I was down 3 days total and felt normal in about a week or so. If I had any respiratory issues I didn't notice it being worse than my normal allergies.

Did you test positive for COVID? Or just have a viral GI illness?

I'm seeing a lot of Nausea/Vomiting/Diarrhea with headache around here that are COVID negative, some of whom have had close contact with COVID positives. So I treat them as false negatives and have them continue their quarantine isolation for 10days/72 hours.

Not trying to be funny, but I will bet my body temp was that high last week in the 100+ temperatures and working outside.

I would have thought the same. I work outside most of the day and have my temperature taken once a day. No matter how hot, it always comes back no fever.

I hope you don't mind if I ask why. Can't this just be a stomach virus that is going around? Those still exists don't they. My daughter and her roommate had this a couple of weeks ago and I have heard of others having it. I haven't heard of any of them testing positive.

If you consider this a false negative, wouldn't you need some reference of others who presented the same and eventually showed positive with the same symptoms or had the antibodies?

Yes, Dr. Coates, MD (Reveille) has consistently given a well documented routine with known contents for keeping one's immune system strong. It's very easy to find on his thread.

It absolutely could be. And I think some people are missing pathology by putting on the blinders and thinking only COVID and not working up other conditions.

However, in my patient population (military), the risk of missing a false negative could mean a massive outbreak in the unit, the barracks, or both. The result would be entire units getting shut down and a big blow to training and operational readiness.

We can afford to lose a handful of people at a time, spread out throughout different sections within the unit. We can't afford to lose an entire section, or more.

After a negative test, it's up to the unit commanders (in a discussion with their medical officers) to determine risk tolerance for allowing someone back to work without a full quarantine period.

So zinc, quercetin and D3-5 along with V-C? Is that a good cocktail?
