I've posted about this on a couple of other threads...you can download the data from the TX DHS website, but the totals on the demographic info is WAY behind the totals for total cases and total deaths. Evidently, demographic info isn't being reported reliably, and DSHS is "investigating" each one before reporting it in the demographic info.

I'll find the link and post it for you, though.

To elaborate on the discrepancies in the data (the numbers are as of a week or so ago, when I last looked at the data).:

The state website (dshs.texas.gov) shows that, to date, there have been 111 documented cases of Covid in children aged 1 and younger, 496 in children 1-9, and 1293 in children aged 10-19.

The data does specifically say that these are completed case investigations and the number does not include probable cases. But the percentages are based on a total of only 26,272 cases! They use this same 26,272 number to break down cases by age, gender, and race/ethnicity

The dashboard shows 282k cases reported.

The Houston/Harris County site shows 2000 cases in kids 0-9 and 3800 cases in kids 10-19 just in Houston/Harris Co.

I can't find where Houston/Harris County breaks deaths down by age (or any other factor).

This is obviously a big difference, and it appears the state website is grossly under-reporting case counts when they break it down by demographics.

There is a similar problem when you look at deaths. There have been 3532 deaths total, but when the state website breaks it down by age/gender/ethnicity, those numbers are based on only 728 deaths.

To get the data you are looking for in TX, go here:

https://dshs.texas.gov/coronavirus/additionaldata/

Click where it says "Accessible Dashboard Data" (which is right under the "Texas Data" heading).

This will download an Excel spreadsheet, and there are different tabs with demographic info.

There are tabs for cases by age group, gender, and race/ethnicity, as well as tabs for fatalities by age group, gender, and race/ethnicity.

Current demographic data is using a total number of cases 31,832 for the cases and 784 for deaths.

Dashboard says there are 375,846 cases and 4,885 fatalities.

My nephew and 9 of his friends are counted in the 10-19 age category. Each of them had no symptoms to a mild 24 hour cold.
