If you dig just a tiny bit, you learn that this guy was the Chief Scientific Officer of the Allergy Division of Pfizer which was shut down for lack of viable research.
what i see is a brute force non-dynamic system

He is not the chief science officer of Pfizer. That is incorrect, despite what the link claimed.
According to the Pfizer website, that is Dr Mikael Dolsten.

From what I could Google, he was a vp and chief science officer at Pfizer in an allergies and respiratory group at one point. But he was laid off around late 2010 and has worked for other companies in the field since then. Doesn't look like he was ever the company's CSO, but he was a group CSO. He seems to have relevant credentials/background so its annoying to me they inflated it.

So false positives didn't effect the numbers which showed cases significantly dropping over the last few weeks but they are driving this notion of a second wave? What's causing the massive uptick in "false positives" in the testing that wasn't there a few weeks/months ago?

Only thing I can think of is a change in proportion of which tests are being used. A&M athletics teams are switching from one test to another because of concerns about false positives. Given changes in testing capacity over time it shouldn't come as any surprise that false positives would be different.Federale01 said:

That all being said, I'm highly skeptical 1) that this "second wave" at least thus far is even meaningful and 2) that it is in any significant way driven by false positives. More likely a massive increase in blanket testing of populations as schools open back up and are taking surveys by doing tests
There are some good points in the article especially with regard to current deaths, hospitalizations and ICU usage, but its a pretty bold claim to say that half of all tests or maybe even nearly all are false positives.

Agreed. Not some grand conspiracy, just politicians craving power and media knowing that panic sells ads. Add in the desire for most to use it to win the election and here we are.
for those that want to oppose this article or say its not reliable, just wait a few more weeks, its all coming starting with none other than the CDC saying they were all wrong on this.. there now are numerous articles and studies showing the virus is on its end stage in many many countries including the United StatesSkinner98 said:

Ever heard of the Gulf of Tonkin incident, or lack of, which propelled us into war with N. Vietnam? It would also be ironic if you were the same rojo ag who started the Spurrier to A&M rumor.
And yes. I have heard of the Gulf of Tonkin. I can't believe you would compare that incident to an all encompassing global pandemic requiring 10s of thousands of complicit participants all falling in line to destroy our our economy and bring down Orange Man.
