260k / 53 million = .5% IFR total

Don't really understand the statement "CDC warns" Lower than expected IFR should be good news.

So, roughly 16% of the population? More good news...this plus vaccine should really do some good.

53 million was 2 months ago, 260k is today. Keeping the 8x consistent would mean ~96 million infections or 1/3rd of the population. IFR would be ~2.7%, or the same estimate that's been going around for the last 6 months.

This article is "we need something to write about COVID, so we'll re-write the same article we wrote 3 months ago and change the numbers."

Yeah, screwed that up, .27%. Point still stands that that's no different than it's been for the last 4 months or so.
