Been back at work for a week and was notified this morning that I was exposed yesterday to someone who tested positive. Do I need to quarantine again or is immunity in play?
Thanks
Thanks
Well my wife and I (along with 7 or 8 others) got it from a 15 - 20 second conversation at church with a close talker who was pre-symptomatic, so I would call BS on the A LOT of exposure part...Capitol Ag said:
Immunity is in play. Plus there needs to be A LOT of exposure to this person who was positive for you to have caught it in the first place. Given you've had it, you should be good to go. Doctors on here, can you back me up on this? This has been the way I have understood it.
Close talking, along with being extremely socially awkward, is also an event many would deem that can produce "a lot" of exposure" considering how much spit and breath a person expels while talking. Watch the videos out there showing the distance that the expelling moisture can travel from a speaker to a listener. And if they have a large amount of viral load, 20-30 seconds of direct contact talking can do it. That's my one and really only support for masking I have and do see as a benefit. It blocks viral load potentially and when that socially awkward person who still thinks it's ok to get right up in your grill when that, pandemic or no pandemic, is just never acceptable. See the Seinfeld episode about it if you need more proof!SunrayAg said:Well my wife and I (along with 7 or 8 others) got it from a 15 - 20 second conversation at church with a close talker who was pre-symptomatic, so I would call BS on the A LOT of exposure part...Capitol Ag said:
