Been back at work for a week and was notified this morning that I was exposed yesterday to someone who tested positive. Do I need to quarantine again or is immunity in play?

Thanks

Immunity is in play. Plus there needs to be A LOT of exposure to this person who was positive for you to have caught it in the first place. Given you've had it, you should be good to go. Doctors on here, can you back me up on this? This has been the way I have understood it.

Who needs to quarantine?
People who have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 - excluding people who have had COVID-19 within the past 3 months.

People who have tested positive for COVID-19 do not need to quarantine or get tested again for up to 3 months as long as they do not develop symptoms again. People who develop symptoms again within 3 months of their first bout of COVID-19 may need to be tested again if there is no other cause identified for their symptoms.

Well my wife and I (along with 7 or 8 others) got it from a 15 - 20 second conversation at church with a close talker who was pre-symptomatic, so I would call BS on the A LOT of exposure part...

Close talking, along with being extremely socially awkward, is also an event many would deem that can produce "a lot" of exposure" considering how much spit and breath a person expels while talking. Watch the videos out there showing the distance that the expelling moisture can travel from a speaker to a listener. And if they have a large amount of viral load, 20-30 seconds of direct contact talking can do it. That's my one and really only support for masking I have and do see as a benefit. It blocks viral load potentially and when that socially awkward person who still thinks it's ok to get right up in your grill when that, pandemic or no pandemic, is just never acceptable. See the Seinfeld episode about it if you need more proof!

This is like the sex partner posters at the health clinic from and 80s and 90s when i was a kid. If youve had sex with x partners and theyve have sex with x partners and so on it is like having sex with 1000 people.

Swap sex with conoravirus and now you areninfecting the world.

Amazing.....that goes against just about any and all reporting as well as the CDC findings.....that seems to be a very unique occurrence.

The CDC specifically calls out direct contact of hugging/kissing as close contact exceeding their threshold. From a dosing standpoint, close talkers are kissing you without your consent.

The solution to this is not masks. It's publicly shaming people for violating your space.
