So I tested positive back on 11/20 and symptoms gone by 11/23. My job won't let me return without a negative PCR, but they keep coming back positive. I read where the cdc states you can be positive for months but you can go to work after 14 days.

While I can do some stuff from home, I manage a group of people in real time ops and need to be there for a large portion of my responsibilities. At least I see a lot more of my girls :-).

Ask your work if a positive COVID antibody test will work. That's what I've been doing when workplaces are ignorantly requiring a negative COVID test

Ask them to point to which CDC quarantining policy they are holding your return to employment. Honestly, that's ridiculous. Studies have shown that you may continue to shed inactive virus particles for 80 days post infection.

Finally got cleared to go back tomorrow. Safety Director had to get the corporate doctor involved to clear my return.

The garbage that is the PCR test in terms of driving policy will be one of the many things we realize were a massive failure in our pandemic response.
