I'm on what I think is day 3. Tested negative on Tuesday morning and then positive on Wednesday morning. Taste is getting really strange. Just ate a sandwich that tasted like salt.

What should I be looking out for to make sure I stay ahead of this thing?

I'm 45. Overweight. Treated HBP.

Right now I'm just tired and my sinuses are wacky.

Read the Dr Reveille thread at the top of the page.

You really need to be focusing on making sure you have enough vitamin D. Start supplementing now.

Zinc, quercertin. Call your doctor to see if they will give you a prescription for ivermectin.

Some hospitals now have monoclonal antibody treatments available as an outpatient. You may be high enough risk to qualify. Talk to your doctor about it.

I'm in the same situation, I had a small cough started Tuesday. The cough is already gone but lost my sense of smell last night. I took the rapid test today and it came back positive. I have been taking Vit d, CoQ12 and C for several months. I just got in 50mg zinc tablets and 500 mg quercetin two days ago.
My doctor prescribed a steroid inhaler and albuterol inhaler. I asked for a Z pack and was told I didn't need it. I feel I have a good handle on it. Currently just a mild headache and mild back pain. If I have left anything out let me know! My current Vit D levels are 38 which falls in the sufficient level. Stay safe Ags!

Good luck both of you.

My Dad got one of those monoclonal antibody treatments on day 11 on the advice of ER docs. He had a rough night following the transfusion but turned the corner and recovered in the days after. Make sure you get a good consultation and read the literature if it's bamlanivimab. It's brand new and includes some warnings about potential interference with future vaccines. But at the point they are recommending it to you, docs are weighing the risks of your given situation.

Start taking the vitamins and supplements that Reveille recommends.

Ask Dr rev where he's at on megadose vitamin d early. Some guides are calling for 20000 IU a day initially and 50000 if it worsens.

Are you taking Pepcid as well? Reveille recommends it. He had been recommending it for months. And then I noticed it was given to Trump when he had Covid. I believe it helps slow down the virus.

The isolation and waiting is the worst. Will my case be mild? Will it turn south? What should I do? When should I do it? etc etc etc

I keep reminding myself that at 45 years old, the odds are very heavily in my favor to be ok. Really high at that. But I guess the media and social media has raised so much anxiety about the worst case that it is hard to shake the feeling. And I am in no way downlplaying those stories, as they are real and terrible.

My primary care wasn't interested in talking about supplements and things like the cocktail mentioned earlier when I followed up after testing positive. To me then how does one decide which of those are okay with the BP meds? That's my issue right now.

I just took my first reading for oxygen saturation showing 96%. I'm looking at the acceptable levels and this seems to be good. I also just started taking the Pepcid. Thanks for all the information!

I would find another doctor, I think the key is getting on this quickly and not letting it settle in. I wouldn't know where to start on your BP meds. I would pose the question to one of the doctors on the board.

You're fine now

The sh/t hits the fan if it drops later. A pulse ox gives the numbers. Without one you're relying on how you feel, which of course is not an exact science

Get one now so you can be ready to get to the ER if necessary

Good luck & here's a page I saved with suggested amounts of supplements - famotadine is Pepcid. You can find Dr Louis Coates on fb and read the supplement list he recommends as well.

So far it's been very mild, just loss of smell. I'm not sure what day to say I'm on. I had a slight cough last Tuesday and they say loss of smell starts around day 3 or 4. If that is the case I'm on day 8. If I go by the test I'm on day 6.

I have followed the protocol that's been given on this site. I even took Ivermectin on Monday and again this morning! I'm not going to let this go south if I can.

The only other symptom is a slight stuffy nose. I going to get retested this Friday and see if I'm still positive. Thanks for checking in on us and stay safe Ags!
