COVID fear....Vaccine fear. It all sells the same.

I remember reading an article about this a long time ago at the beginning of the lockdowns - so like a thousand years ago. The gist was it's a minor risk but it was also argued that this same phenomenon is what causes a portion of the infected population to progress to major illness instead of just having regular flu-like symptoms and getting over it.

good point. you would really need to dive into the study of those impacted with those vaccine effects. Do they have similar traits as those that struggle with COVID - obese, ethnicity, htp, type A(B) blood, etc?

No. The organization that wrote that is anti-vax and pushes a lot of false narratives in that regard. This is from early December and some of their assumptions are contrary to the actual trial results.

I hate to say it, b/c I love their passion for protecting the unborn, but lifesitenews uses inflammatory and misleading information to stoke fears and anger.

Listen to CDub06.

One of the most influential bloggers I follow calls them 'liesitenews' for a reason. I wouldn't go that far, but proceed with caution.

I'm not sure about this website but yes, pathogenic priming is a concern with all of the COVID vaccines. It is worth a dive into pubmed to find studies on this from previous vaccine attempts.

Weren't they the same a ones that were pushing the "pepsi is flavored with aborted babies" story a few years back?

It does seem logical that if a second vaccine dose produces an extreme reaction that being introduced to the real virus would also have the same effect.

Or potentially worse if it is the same process. Transient transfections, which is what the vaccine is, aren't also infectious and don't reproduce themselves. This is what I get concerned about when gambling on not holding back supply for second doses.

We need to get the vaccine of we want to end this mess. We have decades of experience with vaccines. You have greater risks of death or injury in driving from your home to the grocery store in most cases.

Not of this type. We have months of experience w/ mRNA vaccines. People need to be very deliberate in their risk/reward decisions on taking this unapproved injection. They need to educate themselves on the lowered bar this vaccine cleared versus what an FDA approved vaccine goes through

Not this vaccine. Pharmaceutical companies have been trying to make a vaccine for regular coronavirus (common cold) for a very long time. The reason this hasn't worked is because in animal studies, when the animal was exposed to the live virus post vaccination they have experienced disease enhancement. We need to be very careful and not rush a vaccine through the stages to get it to market. Pathogenic priming is a real and valid concern that everyone should be aware of prior to vaccination.

I believe the technical term is antibody dependent enhancement. Like you, I was concerned about it and kept asking docs on this board if it was possible. Finally, I got a good explanation on Forum 16 of all places.

ADE would have been discovered in the phase 3 trials. In all cases where ADE has occurred, it was discovered during phase 3. In the case of covid19, the small number of people who got the vaccine and ended up getting covid had much milder symptoms than those who did not get the vaccine.

If ADE was a problem we would have seen it by now.

The "common cold" is not the "regular coronavirus" at all. The common cold is known to be caused by a couple of hundred different viruses, with the majority being from the rhinovirus family. Some colds are caused by corona viruses, but certainly not most. Development of a successful cold vaccine would require a complex vaccine capable of recognizing many many different viruses. Because the common cold is not considered a serious illness, there has been little pressure or incentive to develop such a complex vaccine. Simply do a search for "why no cold vaccine" if you want to.

Point being, using the common cold (and any attempts to create a vaccine for such) as an argument against Covid-19 vaccination is misleading.

You have greater risks of death or injury in driving from your home than from Covid if you are under 70 with 1 or less comorbidities.

And you have greater risk of death or injury driving from your home than you do from flying across the country on a jet. But, I'm still glad the airlines take safety precautions. :-)
