I hoping someone can provide some insight. I'm not sure these details are needed, but I'm looking for some assurance I've covered my basis here.

I spent the weekend before last with a buddy hunting in West Texas (including a huge amount of time riding together). Sunday, he had a minor cough which and a few other things we figured was due to the dust. On Monday, his symptoms worsened and he ended up testing positive. Tuesday night I had a fever and terrible chills and aches and couldn't sleep. I haven't felt as bad since then, but I continue to have sporadic low grade fevers (99.5 to 101.3) joint/muscle soreness and minor headaches. I do still have my taste and smell though (since that seems relevant).

I did both a rapid test and a PCR test both Thursday (four days after exposure and again on Saturday (6 days after). With this, have I adequately covered the testing front? It sounded like it from the testing person, but I wanted confirmation if possible.

So you've had four negative tests now? I'm assuming that's what you're asking about.

There's still other stuff out there. It's a little odd with the buddy testing positive, but maybe it was a false or assumed positive for him and it was always another basic virus. I'd follow up with antibody testing for both of you in about 4-6 weeks to see if anything is there.

For what it's worth, my daughter was sick in October and we all would have sworn it was COVID. Four negative PCR tests for the family and negative antibodies for the adults later say she probably didn't (we all had varying symptoms around the same time).
