air travel question...covid contact

long story short....Mom is in Houston and is at end of life stage. She is on COVID floor. IF, IF I were able to fly into town and allowed in to see her, what is the quarantine guideline after visiting the hospital? At the very least, I think it would be irresponsible to fly within 10-14 days. Thoughts
Please tell me there's a special place in Heaven for Aggie fans! It's like we are living some sort of penance on Earth.

Fly in and rent a car and drive home is what I would do. Houston to Atlanta isn't a horrible drive.

I think most airlines have you declare you haven't been knowingly exposed within 14 days. Not sure how that would work with a hospital visit

You should be wearing the same PPE the nurses and doctors wear when you visit your mom, so I don't know if they consider that "exposed". Do they not allow Covid nurses to ever fly? I don't know.

I'm sorry your mom and you are going through this. My mom passed away from it last Sunday. This is a terrible, terrible disease for many people.
