Ok, I had very slight symptoms 4-3 weeks ago thought allergies, but took a covid-19 test Jan 18th and tested negative for covid-19.

My company pays for the test so I went ahead took the antibody test thru LabCorp, the Deiasorin Liaison Sars-cov-2 s1/s2 IhG assay, and it came back positive for antibodies.

My question what is likely hood I have a false positive antibody test. I am very shocked it came back positive. Thanks

My covid test on 18th was prc nasal swab. Negative. My anitbody test I took was a blood test like I take for annual checkup. Got it back positive for antibodies. Really shocked.

I recommend getting another test. It only takes an hour of your time.

BQ, if the blood antibody test said you were positive, It's like 98% chance it's right. However, 2 out of a 100 it will be wrong.

The first test has a higher chance of being a false negative, especially if it was early in the course of your disease.

Not sure but I am 0/4 for antibodies via blood donations since June. I had been curious as well about how accurate the antibody test is via the blood donation center, but figure they would have one of the better ones as they screen for plasma donors.
