I don't think this is a surprise. Covid may be a total ****show but it's not unlike other viruses. Still it's good that this information is getting out there.

Can you post a link to the study? NY Times is behind a paywall and I don't care to read their interpretations over the actual study.

I should have clicked one more link...

I've been out of academic research for a while and didn't realize preprint before review is complete had become "normal". That's an interesting disclaimer on the Lancet website, too.

I hate preprints because they are miserable to read, but it seems to be the way everyone is going now. I think my group will probably start putting things on biorxiv this year.
