I had a knee replacement 3 years ago, my wife had TMJ surgery (30years ago), a friend of ours had a plate put in her hip also 30 plus years ago. We all experienced pain in those areas after the second dose. We all also had the low grade fever that seems to be a common side effect. Coincidence ??

I'm not an MD, but it kind of makes sense. Your immune system has been triggered. It's supposed to be attacking a specific invader, but it seems like the response could also target other foreign bodies. I've heard of similar reactions in people who have dermal fillers (ie, lip injections).

I have an artificial hip. Will see if it gets sore.

I know when I had my knee surgery they recommended I take antibiotics before I go to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned. Apparently, an infection introduced into your body tends to go to that area of surgery.

Aggie sports writer Brent Z had covid and tweeted that he was fine except for a surgical scar from his youth that hadn't hurt since he had the surgery flaring up terribly. No idea if it's related but it was weird none the less.

The first shot was on the right arm, second yesterday on the left. It is more painful at the site of the second than the first was. But, the site of the first injection started hurting again today. Weird.
