Good morning, wondering if I could get some opinions on my current situation. I had a night nanny over on Monday night to take care of my one month old son. She was at my house for nine hours. She and I sat taking on the couch fairly close to each other for about an hour, and then she held my son for maybe a total of 15 minutes. She wore a mask but I didn't.
She left Tuesday morning and called me later that day to tell me that she had gone to get a Covid test after leaving my house and it was positive. She said she had been feeling a little off for a couple of days and had just started to develop mild cold symptoms. Her daughter had also been having mild symptoms for a couple of days and tested positive at the same time.
I talked to my son's pediatrician who said that my son had very little risk and recommended that I be tested 72 hours after my last exposure. I had the Curative PCR cheek/mouth swab test yesterday morning, which was negative. I feel completely fine.
My question is, do I need to take another test in a few more days to be confident that I am truly negative? My parents are both in their 70s and I obviously want to be careful around them. I generally spend a lot of time around them and have been spending the night at their house multiple nights a week for help caring for my son. Of course I haven't been around anyone except my son since my exposure.
Thank you very much for any opinions!
