What does this mean? We had exposure to someone who tested positive 5 days ago

The other weird part is that my wife received the 1st moderna vaccine shot the same day she was exposed.

Found this via Google: "If you receive an inconclusive test result, it means that a small amount of the COVID-19 virus' DNA was identified in the sample you provided. However, the amount of virus detected was not enough to be a confirmed positive result. An inconclusive test result is treated similarly to a positive COVID-19 case and requires an individual to re-test. If you receive an inconclusive test result, it is advised that you self-isolate and complete the College's COVID-19 Reporting Form and wait for a contact tracer from the College to contact you." This was from a university website.
Why did she test? If she is showing symptoms, she might need a retest. I don't know if the vaccine would impact a test.

Since she has had at least 1 dose of the vaccine, shouldn't she be fine not to quarantine.

First dose on the same day of exposure provides doesn't give the body enough time to produce antibodies in time.

If exposure was <7 days prior to testing, retest on day 8-10. If exposure >7 days prior to testing, and asymptomatic, probably in the clear.
