So I got shot 1 on Monday. Had a low grade fever yesterday and body aches. Feel much better today. Should I expect the side effects from shot 2 to be same or worse? Thanks.

Everyone reacts differently.

Get the shot. Once you're done, take the Motrin or Tylenol.

It was fairly unpleasant after the second shot. And we were tickled to death to suffer a little for the protection it gives us. Moderna was a walk in the park compared to what the second shingles shot did to us.

Everyone is different. My dad didn't even have a sore arm on either shot. He's 95.

I had a slight sore arm after dose #1 of Moderna....dose #2 is April 5th...the day I leave for vacation. Hoping for a little soreness or at worst, 24 hours of aches, pains, etc

After 1st Moderna shot, not even sore arm. After second shot got joint/body aches starting about 36 hours afterwords that lasted roughly 24 hours. Stayed in bed for a day.

I understand the younger folks are having a higher incidence of reactions to the vaccines.

My wife had no reaction to the first Moderna shot, and my only reaction was a large red spot. For the second shot, we absolutely no energy the day after the shot, and a little bit of queasiness, but nothing of some of the stronger reactions I've heard.

I had my first shot last Saturday. Fine all day Saturday after the shot. Sunday morning joints pretty achy and arm really sore if I raised it above my shoulder but none of it a big deal. Around noon (24 hours after shot) had a wave of exhaustion hit me after doing some work on our land. I took a shower and it perked me up a bit and drove to the grocery store and the exhaustion hit hard along with more intension body aches. Everything the rest of the day took a herculean effort. Getting the motivation to get up to take a piss felt like I was running a marathon.

Not looking forward to the second shot but with stuff who knows, I could be totally fine with that one.

ETA - I had the virus sometime last summer or fall because I had antibodies in November but was totally asymptomatic. So for me the vaccine has been worse than the virus.

Got the first round Tuesday. Actually injection about the most no nothing shot I have gotten. Nothing all day Tuesday. Wednesday woke up to a pretty sore arm, but by lunch time was fine. Worse than the flu shot, but not as sore as the tetanus booster.

Since you had the virus, the first shot is usually worse than the second. For people who haven't had it, it's the opposite.

I'm really hoping that's the case.

I had severe arm pain on first shot with really bad sinus drainage. Second shot, little arm pain and very little sinus drainage but had really hot flashes (a guy) with low-grade fever of 99.9. Lasted about two days and it was over.

I got Moderna.

Wife had Pfizer and not much to speak of except general malaise and sore arm.

So if your wife already carries them in her purse, no reason for concern.

I had the virus as well...about 12 hours of so after the shot, I had pretty gnarly chills, then sweats, all with fever. Achey....Now, im just fatigued but otherwise okay.

And yup, while I lost my smell and taste with Covid for about a week and some change, the vaccine has made me feel worse.
