Let's say that a person has COVID, not serious enough to go to the hospital or anything like that.

What should he do in terms of treatment? I'm using a combination of fruit juice, Zicam, hydration, lots of sleep, and ibuprofen, which is basically how I treat everything even though I don't really think it does much.

As I get suggestions, I'll edit them into the OP. I scanned the first three pages but didn't see anything.

I suggest showing the information on this website to your doctor. Ivermectin has 40 research papers showing its effectiveness.

The American Association of Physicians and Surgeons (aapsonline.org) has a treatment guide posted on their site. Definitely worth reading.

That is an oddly hostile response given that I'm asking what I thought was a fair question on a board dedicated to the subject. I figured there has been discussion involving real doctors but it's buried on one of the long threads.

I don't have a doctor and I don't actually know that I have Covid, I'm waiting on the test results. I definitely have something, just trying to figure out if there's anything I should be doing differently than a standard cold.

I'm taking zinc, ibuprofen, making sure to spend some time outside in the sun for vitamin D, and drinking juice with vitamin C.

That seems reasonably close to what I found trolling around websites last night, but most of the websites from Official Medical Organization said that "there's no proof that ______" does any good, presumably for liability reasons given that there hasn't been much time to run double blind studies on the efficacy of vitamin x.

Well, his user name does check out at least. So there's that!

Seriously, I took zinc x100MG (2 50mg tablets a day), Vit D (cannot remember the dosage but I took 2 a day) and Vit C (1000MG). Plus Melatonin 1 tablet 20 min b4 bed.

I think it really helped. Got lots of sleep.

I'm not a doc but Doc Rev usually also recommends baby aspirin as clots can be a problem.

I also took melatonin and mega dose of vit D; 50K iu the first day, less but continued the days after.

When most doctors won't prescribe ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine for early treatment, it's important to know how to self medicate and have these items on hand if possible.

Besides the supplements that Dr Rev posted on here and his facebook page , this has some of the best medical info out there. It was also mentioned during the physician testimony from the Texas legislature hearings on Covid.

Why would you want a proven therapy, when you could take a malaria drug, or inject yourself with something made for horses that you got at Tractor Supply?

My neighbor just tested positive. So I send him the link and say "hey it looks like you can get antibodies at the hospital (literally) at the bottom of the hill"

"Thanks, I'm good. I've got some vit d,c and zinc."

I realize this is a humorous response, but few people are aware of this stuff, apparently even at the locations listed on the website. When my parents had Covid, none of the doctors at BS&W knew what I was talking about when I asked them about the Regeneron therapy for my mom and dad. This despite the fact that they're listed in that website.

Regarding vitamin D. Evidently magnesium is an important factor contributing to how well your body is able to produce and utilize vitamin D from sunlight exposure. Also, most Americans are magnesium deficient.

As such, I'd recommend taking a good magnesium supplement. It'll have plenty of benefits beyond just the Rona, too.

This with magnesium and baby aspirin is what they had me on and still am even 2months after.

The only thing they prescribed for me was 20mg of prednisone twice a day.

Just saw this article. Regeneron has been shown to be highly effective in reducing hospitalization of people with risk factors.

https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/public-global-health/544513-antibody-drug-cuts-risk-of-covid-19-hospitalizations

Apparently now they are also giving it through subcutaneous injection in small doses instead of IV infusions with good results.
