1. The virus is everywhere
2. They were exposed to it.
3. This exposure happened well before the first dose of vaccine would have induced any substantial immunity.

If they were exposed even a few days after their first vaccine, it is possible that they will have a less severe case than they would have normally because of that vaccine. If it is their second dose, they should have very mild cases comparitively.

Are you suggesting it's from the vaccine? The thing that doesn't have the virus in it (Pfizer and moderna)?

Considering the foot traffic in the vaccine area, contamination is probably the odds on favorite for exposure.

Also, was the positive from an antigen rapid test? Since that tests for a protein produced and the vaccine causes the same production of protein, may be possible. Although unlikely that it would be in the nasal tract unless exhibiting symptom.

Also, my wife wrecked her car within 3 days of getting the moderna vaccine. Just saying...

What are you suggesting? You do realize you can still get covid after getting vaccinated. The vaccine is to prevent you from getting very sick if you get it.

My daughter got it from being exposed to someone who was positive shortly after she had been vaccinated. It wasn't the vaccine but who she was with and how little time she had been vaccinated. A person who was fully vaccinated in same environment was the ONLY one of group to not test positive.

the positive rapid tests are bunk.
