Covid is cured from Van Zandt county eastward.

I lived on Lake Palestine for 5 years and went to check on the lake house this weekend. Judging by all I saw on my trip - COVID is cured in east Texas.

We peaked in early January. Hopefully it ran it's course in the more prone population, and people who were at higher risk of death have had the opportunity to get a vaccine for the better part of two months now.

Funny. I just drove in from alabama and both places stopped to get gas (jackson ms, and tyler tx) nearly everyone was wearing masks as the went into the store.

These weren't the gas stations at the exit but ones closer to town (i.e. most of the people were locals)

Now if only east Texas can cure its inability to conjugate "to run" correctly.

East Texas question:

Are masks required at the Canton Trade Days? I'm ready to go, but not if it requires masking up all day

I live in East Texas. 10% at most wear masks. Walmart and other large stores say masks are recommended but not required. Sounds like what you experienced in Tyler was an anomaly. I haven't heard of a positive case in my town in (knock on wood) probably a month.

This was probably the correct thought!

I was out and about different places - from Canton to the lake - and didn't see anybody with a mask other than a couple of elderly people at a restaurant. I did not make it into fashionable Tyler.

Of course, I was still living there when COVID started and the mask rate was much lower there than back in the Metroplex so maybe it hasn't changed much.

IMO a mobile home every 2 miles is taking social distancing a little too serious

Or perhaps aquanet is the cure

It's cured in all municipalities that quit jamming covid, covid, covid down everyone throats. Guess what? They're fine too.
