The official narrative is that we still don't know where it originated or how it was released. Two leading theories are that it was through contact with animals in China or from a lab in China.

Is there a summary? A 12-minute "trailer"? I could not get past creepy guy, and then a cut to a random black lady from North Carolina that I assume is a psychic talking about a vision of a building that is open on all sides. I made it to 1:45. What are they saying is the origin, or were they not able to cover that in the 12 minute trailer.

Is there truth to this being developed in North Carolina under Obama / Fauci's supervision and moved to China when local pressure mounted to end it?

Developed in China with poor safety precautions to naturally occurring in a wet market?

I find it interesting that Luc Montagnier, one of the virologists who discovered HIV believes it to be a work of molecular biologist. From the research I've done it appears many are dismissive of his claims and many articles attempt to discredit him. Regardless I find it significant that someone with deep expertise in virology would make such a statement. I'm curious what others think of his statements.

Best description I heard of the assinine wet-market theory - "I didn't catch radiation poisoning from Chernobyl, I caught it from a piece of jewelry I bought in a store 200 yards from Chernobyl therefore it is impossible that it was from Chernobyl."

It has been discussed on here several times and the doctors on here said it was man made for sure. As far as who, when, where who knows. In 2015 UNC and China manufactured a coronavirus from bats to determine how it would effect humans. Five years later we have Covid 19. How it got out of the lab who knows as well, Wuhan was supposed to be a level 4 lab but China is not the best about following guidelines.

This guy makes the most plausible connections in my mind although he admits it is basically speculation. Occam's Razor does say that folks experimenting with Gain-Of-Function techniques on Coronaviruses and not providing adequate safeguards could have unleashed this thing on the world.

But to truly know that you need a mea culpa from Chinese Authorities and that will never happen. This will sit in the file next to the JFK assasination.

Hoarding PPE supplies does not mean they manufactured the virus. It means they are being selfish and looking out for their best interest (kinda like we are doing with the vaccine)

Which is a very sh**** move on their part, but I chalk that up to normative behavior for the CCP of not wanting other countries nosing in their "internal affairs" (eg, Uighurs, HK, Taiwan).

When anybody says that they are relying on "scientific consensus", I discount whatever conclusions that they may arrive at. Seeking consensus is a political function. Scientists should not be participating in political functions and then claiming them as science. Science tests and either accepts or rejects hypotheses. Science dose not vote on each hypothesis...

So, a group of scientists gets together and votes about a hypothesis... Do you need a simple majority to be a consensus, a super majority...what level results in a consensus of scientists.

I do not know what all of the facts are about the origins of COVID-19, but I am sure that a tongue in cheek statement like the one you cited is not reliable. Are there any reasons other than protecting China that come to mind for why the ODNI would accept a "scientific consensus" as a fact as set out in the press release. I can come up with many, most of them from the article cited in the post above yours.
